Track Rollout

The pace of VMMC rollout is picking up. Advocacy is needed to stay on course.

Right now, AVAC is working with partners in key countries to make sure that surgical VMMC stays on course—and new nonsurgical devices are introduced in ways that are affordable, sustainable and strengthen existing programs. Some of the issues we track include: the timeliness of data on global and national totals, status of national plans to guide VMMC, best practices from innovative clinics, women's involvement and plans for new devices. Above all, we work to amplify the voices of African men, women, service providers and policy makers. Here, our key partner is the African Truthtellers forum—www.truthaboutvmmc.org.
