In Their Own Words
I want to contribute to a reduction in new HIV infections and unwanted pregnancies among AGYW. To do so, I will ignite the fast-track introduction of a dual prevention pill in Uganda by engaging duty bearers to create an enabling environment. I also want to address the social, economic and cultural barriers leading to the overwhelming numbers of unintended pregnancy and HIV in AGYW. It is time for AGYWs to take control of their lives through urgent gender responsive interventions to prevent the two unwanted scenarios.
